The small, restful village of Donnersbachwald in the Schladming-Dachstein region lies at 1,000 m above sea level and is famous, above all, for the Riesneralm - a popular destination for skiers as well as hikers.
Here, with every step you take, you will discover idyllic natural landscapes, silent alpine tarns, glorious flower-strewn meadows and rustic mountain huts.
The Mörsbach area is always popular with guests - directly accessible from our house, it also serves as the start for an easy hike up to the Alpine Association's refuge hut.
In Donnersbachwald, you are still able to experience authentic hospitality and sincerity, rather than some kind of "show" put on just for tourists. At numerous village events, such as the local fair and various other celebrations, our guests are always invited to join in, of course.
