The Enns offers a wide variety of fishing experiences and glorious stretches of river on 3 different stages.
The upper reaches from Aich to Au are characterized by beautiful gravel shallows and slow-flowing areas. Total length: 3 km.

The fishing area from Aich to Au - fly fishing in the Aicher Enns

The Enns between the bridges in Assach and Pruggern is purely a fly-fishing area and may only be fished using a fly rod. Slow-flowing stages, gravel shallows as well as deep channels produce some magnificent trout and grayling. Brook- and rainbow trout are released here every year.

This area is about 30 km from Gasthof Pension Appartements "Zur Gams".

Fishing waters on the Enns

Fishing Regulations:

  • Fishing is only permitted in the blue-marked zone.
  • Anglers may only use a fly rod with dry- or wet fly, nymphs and streamers as well as sinking leaders.
  • All forms of spinner fishing are prohibited.
  • 3 fish (no grayling) may be removed daily.
  • Disgorgers, measuring tapes and fish whackers are required.
  • Anglers must comply with closed dates and minimum sizes.
