Fishing in the Zeiringerteich near Stainach in Ennstal

The Zeiringerteich is a pond which lies south of Stainach, about 20 km from our inn. It covers an area of about 7 ha and has an average depth of 2.5 m.

Carp weighing as much as 18 kg have been caught here.

  • Fishing is permitted with 2 rods, each using only 1 bait. Use of  hoop nets is prohibited!
  • Carp and Amur must be released without exception!
  • 2 fish (incl. only one predatory fish) may be kept per day-permit. Live fish may not be transported away!
  • The northern bank is a protected area and fishing is not permitted (no public access).
  • Closed seasons and minimum sizes must be complied with.
  • The day-permit must be put in the mail box next to the driveway to the pond (even if no fish were removed) once you have finished fishing.
