Nestled in a romantic setting 1,000 metres above sea level in a tributary of the Ennstal valley, at the foot of the Donnersbacher Tauern mountains, Zur Gams invites you to stay and enjoy the area's outstanding beauty.
Our spacious, luxuriously appointed guest rooms, self-catering apartments and suites provide you with a home from home for a relaxing summer break or ski holiday. We like to spoil our guests gastronomically too, welcoming you to our cosy dining room with a generous breakfast buffet and a delicious evening menu of hearty Styrian fare, prepared using mainly home-made and home-grown ingredients.

The adjacent building contains our three generously sized apartments, each with a well-appointed open-plan kitchen (with coffee maker, kettle, microwave, electric stove, tableware and table linen), dining alcove, bedroom, bathroom, satellite TV and balcony with seating.
An extra twin-bedded room in the attic may be booked on request. Daily delivery of rolls from the local bakery.
If you don't want to cook on holiday, you can also book our apartments with breakfast or half board. Perfect for larger groups of up to 28 people, too.

Summer holidays – Hiking in Donnersbachwald
In the summer, nature is the main attraction. Donnersbachwald offers countless hiking and mountain bike trails taking you past crystal-clear mountain streams, lakes and slopes clad in deep-red alpine roses to heights of 2,375 metres above sea level.
Guided walks led by your hosts will show you the most beautiful spots and the alpine dairy farms of the Donnersbach Tauern Mountains. A pure paradise for walkers, hikers, sportsmen and nature lovers!
Tennis courts, a bathing lake with leisure facilities, paragliding and horse-drawn carriage rides complete the range of recreation options.
Guests are welcome to go fishing in our ponds.
The region boasts plenty of attractions including adventure parks, Trautenfels Castle Museum, Admont Abbey, Ausseerland with its lakes and salt mining museum, the Sky Walk and Ice Palace on the Dachstein glacier, and the Grimming-Therme hot springs in Bad Mitterndorf.
